Georgetown Day is Sunday, June 12th, noon to 5 p.m.

Georgetown Day is taking place on Main Street, Georgetown, on Sunday, June 12th, from noon to 5 p.m.!

The event is free to the community. There will be live music from local bands like North County Band and StuntFish. The Chili Cook-off is returning this year with Nordstrom at the Sono Collection sponsoring. Winning cooks (based on  votes) will receive gift cards from the store, starting with a first prize of a $500! Chili cooks can still apply; please email info@georgetownct.org for more info. 

Kids can enjoy the Scavenger Hunt, and fire department and Ladies Auxiliary activities like decorating a birdhouse. The Playway will feature its waterway with a build-a-boat craft station, a sand table for smaller kids, and touch-a-truck. Visitors can also spray a real fire hose with the fire department! Craft and family-friendly vendors will offer handmade jewelry, gifts, artwork, and other products, and share information on local services and organizations.

There will be multiple local food vendors and seating for diners. The Lions Club will be serving beer at the Georgetown Day Beer Tent. The Georgetown Farmers Market’s first day of the season will be on Georgetown Day, at their Old Mill Road location.

Georgetown Village Restoration Inc., Georgetown Lions Club, Georgetown Community Association, and the Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department are organizing and hosting. Georgetown restaurants and bars will be offering happy hour specials from 5 to 6 p.m. for those who want to continue enjoying the fun after the event is over. Georgetown Day is sponsored in part by Fairfield County Bank, the longest and leading sponsor of the event.
