STORYFEST at Westport Library

Celebrate and enjoy a multi-day, genre-spanning literary festival and the largest literary festival in the state of Connecticut. StoryFest is a celebration of the story in all its forms, and storytellers from across all media. StoryFest is where you can hear award-winning and debut authors talk about their work and books they have coming out this fall. 

Music at MoCA with Roman Rabinovich at MoCA Westport

This eloquent pianist has been highly lauded by The New York Times, BBC Music Magazine, the San Francisco Classical Voice and others. He has performed throughout Europe and the United States in venues such as Wigmore Hall in London, Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Centre in New York, the Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory, and the Terrace Theater of Kennedy Center in Washington DC. This concert is presented in the context of the current exhibit, “Women Pulling at the Threads of Social Discourse.” Arrive early to experience the exhibition with complimentary access and to purchase delicious food and drinks. The program includes: César Franck (1822-1890): The Complete Piano Music, In honor of his Bicentennial, Prelude, Aria et Final, Prelude, Chorale et Fugue, Prelude, Fugue et Variation, and Sonata for Violin and Piano (arranged by Alfred Cortot). 

The Exonerated at The Ridgefield Theater Barn

RTB open its 58th season with a play written by Jessica Blank & Erik Jensen. The play interweaves the true-life stories of people who were wrongfully convicted & sentenced to death, emphasizing what happened in their lives after their convictions. Told with humor, anger, faith, frustration, and hope, this powerful piece amassed awards when it debuted Off-Broadway. Elizabeth Young directs actors Chris Cooney, George Croom, Kendall Driffin, David Fritsch, Timothy Huber, Kevin Knight, Paulette Layton, Matt Pagliaro, Priscilla Squiers, & David Tate. Running through Sept 25th.

“SUN KINGS – A BEATLES TRIBUTE” at Palace Theatre, Stamford

Relive a magical time in music history and enjoy the music created by one of the most influential bands of our time. You’ll hear many of their No. 1 hits as well as some of their lesser known tunes – all performed with an attention to detail duplicating their tight harmonies, fancy guitar work, and solid backbeat. In other words, that signature Beatles sound!

Arts & Crafts on Bedford on Bedford Street, Stamford

Artists Collective of Westport Pop Up Exhibit Artist Talk at Westport Country Playhouse

2022 Annual Member Exhibit at Carriage Barn Arts Center, New Canaan

Saturday  4:00 pm – 6:00 pm 

Come to an opening reception for the longest-running Carriage Barn art exhibition that celebrates the range, interests, and talents of artist members working across all subjects, styles, and media. Come meet the artists and be the first to see the exhibit of almost 200 original works. A portion of all sales benefits the Carriage Barn Arts Center. On view through October 9th.

The 72nd A•ONE Exhibition at Silvermine Galleries, New Canaan 

Saturday, 5:30-7:30pm

Soak up a dynamic array of contemporary art across all visual art mediums in this exhibition juried by Sharon Butler; painter, art writer, and founder of "Two Coats of Paint." International in scope, A•ONE shows a wide spectrum of forms and ideas as well as innovation in composition and materials. Gallery hours are 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. On view through October 20th. 

OH WHAT A NIGHT! A Musical Tribute to Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons Jamie Hulley Arts Foundation Art Gala at Quick Center for the Arts, Fairfield

A bit of Las Vegas comes to Connecticut with a dynamic show thrills its audiences with great choreography, boundless energy, humor and instantly recognizable classic hits such as Big Girls Don't Cry, Walk Like A Man, Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Who Loves You, and many more. The opening act features performers from Broadway Method Academy, Square Foot Theatre, Amity Creative Theatre & Center Stage Theatre. The pre-show reception includes complimentary beverages, dessert bar & raffle preview. 

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at The Ridgefield Playhouse

From their first phase of stardom in the 1996 indie film Swingers to their Super Bowl XXXIII Halftime Show, this band reminds the world that it’s still cool to swing.

Who’s Bad – The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience at FTC’s The Warehouse

If you’re an MJ fan, this one’s for you! Dedicated to recreating authentic live experiences, this show was originally founded by Vamsi Tadepalli in 2003 as a tribute to Michael Jackson's musical legacy. Each individual show is designed and constructed through unparalleled study of the artists' original performances, and infused with new energy.

Neil Berg’s 50 Years of Rock-N-Roll at The Palace Theatre, Stamford

Saturday, 8:00 pm at Stamford’s 

Get ready to dance, sing, and relive the glory years of the '50s, '60s, and '70s, and early '80s. This show uses fascinating stories and groundbreaking music, with tributes to iconic rock stars. Some of these tributes include Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis Presley, Ray Charles, Buddy Holly, Bob Dylan, Frankie Valli, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin, The Who, Janis Joplin, Elton John, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, and so much more.
