Redding Community Conversatons to Create Social Change Spotlights Bias on January 22

In an effort to continue our conversation about race and the belief that social change happens at the community level, Redding's League of Women Voters together with Mark Twain Library, will offer a series of discussions about race in America.

In the first session on Wednesday, January 22 from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, focusing on “Bias,” Dr. Daniel W. Barrett will address the nature of implicit or non-conscious biases, especially those concerning race/ethnicity, and how they can affect our behavior outside of conscious awareness.

Additional Series Sessions:

Oppression – February 5th

Privilege – February 22nd

Change – March 11

This series was developed and co-hosted with the Redding League of Women Voters.
