Storms and Heat Headed to Redding

A disturbance moving through the region Saturday, June 27 into Saturday night will bring the chance for scattered strong to severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon into the evening.
 
In addition, heat and humidity levels will increase for the weekend, with heat indices hitting 90 to 95 degrees for portions of the area. This will be the hottest airmass of the season to date.
