Fairfield County Bank Branch Manager Speaks at Connecticut Food Bank Event

Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager, Deborah Przewlocki spoke at the GROW (Grocery On Wheels) event at South Street Elementary School in Danbury, CT. The event was through The United Way, Connecticut Food Bank, and the Danbury Educational Services Center. The event focuses on financial literacy and tips on how to budget your money.

“The GROW event is a great way to help provide families with food and financial workshops,” said Deborah Przewlocki, Assistant Vice President at Fairfield County Bank. “We are very fortunate to be able to help our community by providing life skills that can be passed on.”

The Connecticut Food Bank GROW! Up With Good Nutrition program is designed to help families in need stock up on food items at no expense to them. The truck is equipped with refrigerators to hold fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, fish, meat and much more. The truck also has shelves designed to keep non-perishable food items.

The program aims to educate parents and guardians who struggle with hunger and financial well-being. GROW provides financial literacy and life skills that the parents can teach their children and to improve their lives.
