ACT (A Contemporary Theater) of Connecticut recently announced a second extension for the theater’s mainstage production of “Evita”, the second musical performed in the newly renovated, state of the art theater located at 36 Old Quarry Road in Ridgefield. Yesterday, I had the honor of sitting in ACT's intimate theater for a sneak peek EVITA! Get ready for something incredible. Broadway stars performing right here in Ridgefield, Connecticut? It's true, and hard to believe! Directed by Daniel C. Levine and choreographed by Charlie Sutton, the Broadway musical captures the passion and unforgettable life story of Eva Perón, who rose from abject poverty in rural Argentina to become First Lady by the age of 27.

ACT's Evita stars Julia Estrada (West Side Story) as Eva Perón, Angel Lozada (Jesus Christ Superstar) as Che, Ryan Bailer (Les Miserables) as Perón, Julian Alvarez (West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent) as Magaldi, and Marlena Lopez-Hilderley as The Mistress.
