Low Cal Prosecco? Yup and it's ON SALE at Ancona's Wines

Last Chance To Save HUGE on what Ancona's calls "the perfect party "prosecco" - oh, and it's LOW CAL!

Enter: 2018 Bisson Glera (De-Classified Prosecco)

Here's what Cody says about this special bubbly:

Bisson Glera is an anomaly. This wine has been in our store for as long as I can remember.

If you’ve ever shopped for Prosecco—you’ve probably spotted it, with its small oval label and crown cap, it stands out from the rest.

This wine is handcrafted by Pierluigi Lugano, who is one of the great masters of Ligurian white wine.

But wait, there's MORE (from Cody)

The Prosecco region in the Veneto is literally across the country—400KM away.

Pierluigi’s good buddy, Eli Spanol owns some of the very best vineyards in the Prosecco district. Mass-produced Prosecco comes from flatland vineyards. However, Eli’s vineyards lie on the precious slopes of the Valdobbiadene DOCG—we’re basically talking about Prosecco grand cru.

And what you get is some of the best, small production “Prosecco-type” bubbly we can possibly lay our hands on.

As is common for Prosecco, this wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks.

In fact, if it weren’t for the crown cap closure this wine would say Prosecco on the label—and although Pierluigi and Rosenthal Wine Merchants have discussed switching to a cork closure, they’ve decided to stick to their guns.

And the wine has never been better.

And it’s about as dry as they come. Much drier than your average Prosecco.  If we were talking about Champagne here—this would qualify as “Extra Brut”.

Imported by Rosenthal Wine Merchant.

Side note from Cody (and it's a biggie)

Just throwing this out there...when I'm working the floor, people often ask me about wines that are marketed as "low-calorie". In the wine world low-calorie is, of course, wines that are a combination of dry and low alcohol. This wine is both of those things.
