Following five years of service to the Easton, Redding, and Region 9 school districts as its Superintendent, and thirty-five years in public education, Thomas McMorran, EdD announced his retirement today, to be effective prior to the start of the 2020-21 academic year.
Dr. McMorran notified the Chairpersons of the three Boards of Education with whom he works of his intent to retire late last week. The three Boards will discuss a process for appointing a replacement at their regularly scheduled joint meeting on May 26, 2020.
In a message to the community, Dr. McMorran said, "It has been an immense privilege to serve for eight years as Head of School at Barlow and five years as Superintendent.
