On the heels of the resignation of Rydell Harrison, at a special tri-board meeting, Easton, Redding, and Region 9 Boards of Education unanimously appointed Dr. Thomas McMorran Interim Superintendent of Schools, effective July 20.
Dr. Rydell Harrison's tenure will end on the mutually agreed date of July 19, 2021.
Redding Board of Ed posted on social media, "The Board extends its gratitude both to Dr. Harrison for his service and commitment to our students and to Dr. McMorran for his willingness to serve as our interim while we work through the process of identifying a new leader for the districts."
Dr. McMorran announced his retirement last year following five years of service to the Easton, Redding, and Region 9 school districts as its Superintendent, and thirty-five years in public education. Thank you to this community leader and educator for stepping up to the plate!
