N95 Masks Available

N95’s are available at various locations around Redding such as Town Hall (call 203-938-2559 from the front door), the Mark Twain Library, Transfer Station, Park & Rec, Heritage Center, and houses of worship. An N95 mask is a respiratory protective mask designed to form a seal around the nose and mouth. N95’s are not designed for children or people with facial hair because a proper facial fit cannot be achieved to provide protection. Individuals with respiratory, cardiovascular, or other under lying risk factors who find N95’s difficult to wear for long periods of time should not use them and find an alternate mask that is more comfortable to wear.

At-Home Test Kit Availability

Free home-test kits are available through a government website https://www.covidtests.gov/ . Orders are limited to four per residential address. Tests will ship within 7-12 days of ordering (no shipping charge) and the timeline is expected to shorten as the program gets up and running. Many have commented on the ease of signing up.
At-home test kits can also be found at local pharmacies (supplies limited) and on-line at big box stores.
