Volunteers gather at Danbury Fair Mall tomorrow to fill backpacks with school supplies for kids in need

United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut Mobilize Donors and Volunteers to Reach Hundreds of Students Through Their Annual Back-to-School Program in Danbury

United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut is hosting its annual Back-to-School Program in Danbury to serve more than 250 students. For more than 30 years, the organization has actively sought to provide students with the school supplies they need to succeed. This event is one of three Back-to-School initiatives hosted by the organization which also includes New Milford and Bridgeport.

Volunteers will gather at Danbury Fair Mall on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. to fill backpacks with school supplies. Filled backpacks are set to be distributed to identified students at a later date. Please enter between LL Bean & William Sonoma.

United Way of Coastal and Western Connecticut staff will be joined by community volunteers and donors. Below is a list of companies that donated supplies:
