Milestone Restaurant Opens in Georgetown

Feed your soul at Milestone Restaurant in Georgetown

Milestone Restaurant, a vibrant new eatery in the heart of the Georgetown neighborhood, is the newest hot spot in the Fairfield County food scene. Conveniently located in an area that is easily accessible to neighboring towns--such as Weston, Wilton, Ridgefield, Easton, and Westport—Milestone is the latest addition to the burgeoning scene in funky little Georgetown, CT. Drawing inspiration from the unique character of the neighborhood, the creators of Milestone aspire to do more than serve great food. From its inception, the restaurant has been designed to be a welcoming neighboring gathering spot nourishing the growing community by offering their take on classic comfort food. All simply prepared, boldly flavored, and made from scratch.

Long-time Weston resident Peter Fine and his wife, Andi Fine, were driven by a strong sense of place and purpose to create a restaurant concept built around reintroducing a heart style of food and recipes from Peter’s mother (Sue Fine was the chef/owner of former Westport eatery Soup’s On) and creating a comfortable and inviting vibe suited for date nights, family dinners, and entertainment. “We created a menu where there is something for everyone,” says Peter. “The concept for our cuisine is very much related to health and happiness. We would like for people to be able to dine here daily and be better for it, by providing them with fresh and delicious preparations of food they know and love.”

At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Kevin Garcia, who was given the opportunity at Milestone to take his bold flavor palette to the next level without restrictions. An alum of Johnson & Wales University, Chef Garcia honed his culinary skills in restaurants such as George Vongerichten’s Prime Steakhouse, Drew Nieporent’s Lucca, Mario Batali’s Del Posto and most recently at Giovanni Rana in New York City. In addition to feeding your soul, Milestone has a full bar serving creative craft cocktails made with freshly squeezed juices and local ingredients, an array of craft beers drawing from both local and east coast breweries, and a selection of reasonably priced wines designed to match the menu.

Milestone is currently offering daily specials such as half price bottles of wine on Wine Down Wednesday, late night happy hour from 8pm – 10pm on Thirsty Thursdays, and open mic jams with local musicians will be coming soon.

Milestone’s commitment to serving as an ever-evolving culinary outpost will be evident with its Tuesday Classic Dinner Series kicking off in January with Paella and Tapas and continuing with unique dinners such a Wine and Bourbon Pairing Dinners, and Wine & Swine Night. For the holidays, a Christmas Eve Feast of the Seven Fishes is also planned. Chef Kevin Garcia will serve a five-course meal with wine pairings. $75 per person with seatings from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.

With the holidays around the corner, Milestone is currently booking holiday parties and special events and is currently hosting a gift card promotion where guests may purchase $60 worth of gift cards for $50 or $120 worth of gift cards for $100.
