On May 25th from 10:00am to 12:00pm, Woodcock Nature Center will host Pollinators’ Quest, a family friendly trail wide game. This interactive trail wide game allows you to expand your imagination, as you become the moving pieces in the challenging world of being a pollinator species. The Quest is free and open to the public with registration required.
Science teachers and game creators, Mike and Kristin Quell-Garguilo, challenge everyone, adults and children alike, to Quest their way through the world of pollination. Become a pollinator and journey through the wooded trails in an event for the whole family. The forest becomes a live action board game with people as the pollinator pieces and informational flag stops as the spaces. This unique outdoor experience is a fun positive way to hike and learn. The game lasts about 1 hour to 1 ½ hours and can be played solo or as a group.
Get your wings, antennas, and segmented body parts ready to enjoy a trail hike while learning about the trials and challenges our pollinators face daily. Free, but registration is required and time is staggered to avoid game play backup.
