Topstone Park Remains Open Through Labor Day

Topstone Park will remain open every day through Labor Day September 7

All 12 remaining dates have time slots available at this time except for this Friday 3-5pm

Residents can request up to 3 non- consecutive dates (by email) to this special email address:

You will need to include in each email: the dates you want, your preferred 3 hour time block, the number of people in your group, your cell number and your address.

We process reservation requests twice daily on weekdays and once daily on weekends. Seven days a week, Park and Recreation staff check reservation requests once after our 3:00pm reservation deadline and promise an answer 7:00pm. On weekdays, we also check the reservation requests once after our 10:00am Monday- Friday deadline and will get back to you by noon at the latest.

There are no day of requests on weekends so if you want Saturday or Sunday you have to request a time by 3:00pm the day before. You can request a date up to 14 days in advance.

This plan allows everyone to have access to the Park and avoids families being turned away at the gate which is what is happening at CT state parks before 11:00 am each day. It also guarantees that you won't feel unsafe/overcrowded. All groups are required to set up 15 feet apart.

Can we use the Park without a reservation?

Due to a pattern of the Park usually not being at capacity late in the day, Redding residents may now drive up to the Park without an approved reservation after 4:00pm and .......if we are not at capacity you will be allowed in. There are no guarantees that we are not at capacity so ........make a reservation in order to guarantee your admission!

Our plan reduces capacity and allows for social distancing while keeping the Park open for residents first.

Reservation requests are now being accepted for all remaining dates.
