Information for Redding Voters Regarding November 3 Election

Michele R. Grande, Redding Town Clerk says that the Town has received many phone calls and emails over the last few days concerning voting at the November 3, 2020 election.

For the November 3, 2020 Election, an elector can vote either in person at the polls from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, or by absentee ballot.

The Secretary of the State (SOTS) will be sending applications for absentee ballots to all registered voters the first two weeks in September.  Completed applications* should be delivered to my office as soon as possible, either by dropping off in the mail slot of the front door of Town Hall (facing the green) or by mailing to Town Clerk, P.O. Box 1028, Redding Center, CT 06875.  Ballots will be issued by my office starting Monday, October 5, 2020 by mail or in person by appointment only.  Please note – you do not have to vote by absentee ballot.  The polls will be open on Election Day for in person voting and the Registrars of Voters will provide a socially-distanced and sanitized polling place at the Redding Community Center.

*If you have already filed an Application for Absentee Ballot with my office, you do not need to complete the application sent to you by SOTS.  To confirm we received your application, please email us at townclerk@townofreddingct.org.

More information regarding voting by absentee ballotchecking your voter registration, registering to vote, or making changes to your voter registration can be found on our website at www.townofreddingct.org

Please subscribe to News and Announcements on the town website for updates on voting.
