Governor Ned Lamont today held a news conference in New Britain with leadership from the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) encouraging high school athletes to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before the start of the upcoming school year.

Governor Ned Lamont reported that Connecticut's infection rate continues to rise and is now at 4.25%, the highest since the spring.
There were an additional 700 cases today and another 36 more hospitalizations.
