Support Julia Pemberton Sept 14 Democratic Primary Redding

Redding Democrats have a Critical Primary Election on September 14^th for First Selectman.  Please join us in wholeheartedly supporting Julia Pemberton for re-election.

As 40-year residents, we value experience and leadership in our town leaders; and, we understand that sometimes progress takes time.  Our concern for the future quality of our town is matched by First Selectwoman Julia Pemberton’s diligent attention to the languishing Gilbert & Bennett Wire Mill project, which she won for Redding in the CT Supreme Court in February 2021.  

Now that the site finally belongs to the Town, she has already:

1.    Obtained grant money for environmental and infrastructure assessments;
2.    Identified new, technical resources to assist with the ongoing, complicated work;
3.    Released a “Request for Proposals”, following State required reviews, for a Project Leader and other immediate needs to press the project forward.

We need a person with full knowledge of the Gilbert & Bennett project as well as other major Town activities, with broad-based project management experience, with excellent communication skills including social media, and with a commitment to devote whatever time (including outside of normal hours) it will take. Managing the Town of Redding, a $15 million operation, requires a full-time, dedicated leader, whom we have in Julia Pemberton.
