American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA)

On March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) was signed into law and established the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund and Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Funds. Together these funds make up the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (“SLFRF”) program.

The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF), a part of the American Rescue Plan, delivers $350 billion to state, local, and Tribal governments across the country to support their response to and recovery from the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The Town of Redding will receive $2,697,885.54 from American Rescue Plan Act funds, distributed in two tranches.

Tranche 1 for $1,348,942.76 was received in June of 2021.  The second tranche for an equal amount, $1,348,942.76, is scheduled for distribution in June of 2022.

American Rescue Plan Funds Working Group

A working group has been formed and tasked with soliciting and reviewing proposals for uses of funds that meet the parameters of the US Treasury Department Final Rule.
