November 8, 2022 State Election

An election for state offices as well as for local offices of Probate Judge and Registrar of Voters, will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the Redding Community Center, 37 Lonetown Road, Redding, CT from 6:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.  Absentee ballots will be available from the Town Clerk starting Tuesday, October 11, 2022. See below for details. 

If you have completed your absentee ballot application, please file it with the Town Clerk as soon as possible. The application can be dropped off at the Town Clerk’s office; mailed to the Town Clerk, P.O. Box 1028, Redding Center, CT 06875; or deposited in the Ballot Drop Box located on the porch of Town Hall.

Apply for an Absentee Ballot for Primary or Election

Absentee balloting is available for those individuals who cannot vote in person for one of the following reasons:  active service in the armed forces; absence from town; sickness; physical disability; or religious tenets.

An applicant must complete an Application for Absentee Ballot (click here) and drop off or mail to the Town Clerk.  Ballots will be can issued in person to the voter at Town Hall or mailed to voter at the address indicated on application. Voted ballots can be deposited in the Ballot Drop Box located on the porch of Town Hall or mailed back to the Town Clerk in the envelope provided with the ballot set, but must be received no later than 8:00 p.m. on August 9, 2022.
