A 73-year-old man died at Sharon Hospital on Saturday afternoon following an accident at Lime Rock Park in Salisbury. Lee Duran, of Lyme, crashed his car in the final turn, a downhill portion of the track, during the Historic Car Festival. He was driving a 1934 MPGA Special, and had raced at Lime Rock for several years.
The accident occurred on day three of the five-day festival, which features more than 400 vintage cars.
State Police are investigating the accident.
