"He consolidates Hendrix, Stevie Ray, '90s grunge, hip hop, soul and R&B into a cool mix that makes your jaw drop. He can out groove and out play any (one) on earth, but he's into songs, not showmanship", raves San Antonio Current about the über gifted Gary Clark Jr. who is coming to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Monday, June 25, at 8 p.m.
A singer/songwriter/instrumentalist and actor, Gary was featured on Rollingstone.com’s "Coachella 2012: 10 Can't-Miss Acts". Special guest is Justin Jones, a 4-piece classic rock band known for their great guitar work. The Little Pub, Ethan Allen Hghwy., Ridgefield, is sponsoring Gary Clark Jr’s Ridgefield event, and ticket holders may enjoy a free glass of house wine or draft beer with dinner the night of the show when tickets are shown.
Gary Clark Jr., who started playing guitar at 12 years old, is a multifaceted musician excelling on guitar, harmonica, bass and drums.
