Early this morning a car driven by Caston Lowe, 62, of Bridgeport was backing out of a driveway on Sunset Lane when his vehicle hit Ridgefield resident Alicia Steinfeld, who was walking behind the vehicle.
According to the police report, Lowe did not realize he had run over Steinfeld until he heard workers from across the street yelling for him to stop. He then stopped the vehicle from backing up and pulled forward to get the vehicle off the pedestrian.
The condition of Ms. Steinfeld was not immediately known.
Police said no charges have been filed.
