Open auditions for Word Around Town: An Evening of Original Poetry directed by Patti Azzara and produced by Marla Manning will be held at the Ridgefield Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane, Ridgefield, on Sunday, May 22, 4 pm to 6 pm and Monday, May 23, 7 pm to 9 pm. The event will be held Wednesday evening, June 22 at 8 pm.
Come prepared to perform 2 to 3 short pieces from memory; additional pieces may also be submitted for consideration. All poems (up to 10) should be typed, one poem per page. Preference will be given to free-form poetry and pieces without heavily rhymed line endings. Please wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to move well. Poems must be your own original work; not interested in Poe, Keats, or Dickinson, etc. Previously published work is allowed.
