Main Street's CVS shopping center welcomes Limes Nail & Spa. This beautiful, newly reopened nail salon, formally Pro Nails, is under new management. Upon stepping into the bright, upbeat salon, you'll be greeted by the friendly face of Joy Cho, who worked as an esthetician at Pro Nails for nine years and is the new owner of the salon. Cho lives in Ridgefield with her family. Her son Issac will be a sophomore at Ridgefield High School next fall and daughter Mera, who just graduated from Syracuse University, will help out at the salon on Friday and Saturday.
So, why the name "Limes"? "Because it sounds fresh," Cho quickly remarked. And fresh it is. With a fresh coat of yellow paint, newly finished wood floors and beautiful new spa pedicure chairs, there should be time for Limes in the life of every busy lady. The price is right with a "grand reopening" 20% discount- bringing the cost of your manicure/pedicure to just $28. But hurry, the discount is only good until the end of July.
Although taking on the role as owner of the salon seems the natural next step for Cho, it was happenstance. Just a few week's ago, when Cho, arrived at the nail salon for work, she was met with a bit of a surprise. "I came to work and the fire marshal showed up and said, What are you doing here? It's closed," explains Cho. It was later revealed that Kay Kim, the owner of Pro Nails was in financial trouble and after several attempts to sell the nail salon, decided to close the doors and leave town. "It's like a bankruptcy," says Cho who took over the lease, made some cosmetic and equipment improvements and reopened the salon doors as "Limes Salon".
