Ridgefield, CT, February 25, 2013. On Saturday, March 2, 2013 a film crew will be shooting footage for a national HGTV commercial featuring Ridgefield’s The Little House Shoppe and owner Christy Kinsman. The segment for HGTV will air nationally and focus on Ms. Kinsman's busy life as entrepreneur, store owner, designer and mother of two. The online segments will be available on HGTV.com.
Ms. Kinsman opened The Little House Shoppe in December, 2011at 113 Danbury Road, Copps Hill Center. The shop is a mix of furniture, home accessories, gifts, and jewelry. It also includes a design studio where Ms. Kinsman creates beautiful interiors for her clients including kitchens, baths, room redesign, furniture placement, paint plans, and custom window treatments and furniture.
"I'm really excited to be a part of this project," Ms. Kinsman said. "I answered a casting call for a kitchen designer for HGTV. They liked my profile: busy mom, entrepreneur, store owner, designer so they tweaked the commercial to accommodate my bio." An air date schedule has not been established but it will air nationally and online.
Shooting will take place at The Little House Shoppe from 8 am - 12 noon Saturday, March 2. The store will be closed until 12 noon then re-open for business. The crew will then relocate to a house on Silver Spring Road that Ms. Kinsman designed and decorated. It will be the backdrop for the remaining components of the national commercial and online segments.
