Ridgefield Hericanes, an adult female hockey team, spent this weekend playing in the 7th Annual "Stick it to Brian Tumors" hockey tournament at Union College’s Messa Rink in Schenectady, New York.
The tournament, which benefits the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and John Hopkins, was started by a mom to honor her son, an avid hockey player who, at the age of 13, was diagnosed with a brain tumor,
The Hericanes, who hit the ice for three days, playing a total of four games, can call 2013 yet another championship season. Player, Brooke Thaler, just announced that the team won 2-0 in the finals!
