Today at Silver Spring Country Club: Making a Difference, One Woman at a Time

The Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce sponsored today's 8th Annual Women's Forum titled "Making a Difference One Woman at a Time" at Silver Spring Country Club.

After a continental breakfast and some networking, the 95 attendees were captivated by some wonderful speakers. The event Keynote Speaker was Megan Smith-Harris who told the audience about her documentary film about burn victims titled ""Trial By Fire: Lives Re-Forged". She empowered all with when she spoke about creating your dream and following through until you reach it. 

Lisa Jones, a Spiritual Psychic Medium, entered the room, adorned in a witch costume, to the music "Witchy Woman". Jones is the author of the book, "The Art of Living Happy", which will be released soon. 

Other speakers were Dr. Carol Mahlstedt, a clinical psychologist who spoke about depression, and Meredith Mulhearn, founder of Cucumber and Chamomile who shared her knowledge regarding healthy eating.

Ridgefield resident and president of SPHERE, Valerie Jensen, received an the Chamber's first ever "Woman of the Year" award  for her abundant charity work.
