Guests at Keeler Tavern Museum's October 26 Cannonball Gala will savor a meal catered by Sarah Bouissou of Bernard's Restaurant.

Here, she and her husband, celebrated Ridgefield chef Bernard himself, are at one of the museum's fireplaces, contemplating a pot for "perpetual stew" and the imposing culinary challenges that confronted Esther, wife of innkeeper Timothy Keeler, as she sought to please tavern patrons two centuries ago.
