Ridgefield Girl Going to the New England Regional Championship in Ice Hockey

The U19 Mid Fairfield Tier 1 girls ice hockey team won the Connecticut State Championship this weekend by defeating the Connecticut Polar Bears, 2-0, in a game played at Trinity College.

Kerry Sheehan-Delany, a Ridgefield resident, is a contributing forward on that team. The Mid Fairfield team now advances to the New England Regional Championships, which will be held in March.

Kerry attends The Kent School, where she is also a member of their girls varsity hockey team. The Kent team is considered one of the best prep school teams in New England, with wins over Taft, Tabor, Westminster and Andover, among others.

Best of luck, Kerry!
