Food, Wine & Lillian August Discounts in May 17 Fundraiser to Benefit The Maritime Aquarium

NORWALK, CT – Savor some fine wines, sample delicious foods and browse fine Lillian August home furnishings during a fun evening fund-raiser on Sat., May 17 to benefit The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk.

Gather at the Lillian August Warehouse in South Norwalk from 6 to 8 p.m. for "Wine, Design, Maritime." New Canaan Wine Merchants will present bottles from around the world to sample, and will take orders for the vintages you like. Sip, savor and also shop because Lillian August will offer 20 percent discounts on any purchases of their home furnishings.

Local restaurants, including Mama's Boy Southern Table, Donovan's, Chocopoligie, Guvnor's Brewery, Stew Leonard's and The SoNo Brewhouse, will provide samplings of their tasty fares. And Aquarium educators will staff a touch tank featuring live animals from Long Island Sound.

" 'Wine, Design, Maritime' is a great way to support the Aquarium, to support local businesses that support the Aquarium, and to take advantage of a valuable discount in adding stylish new decor to your home," said Sam Ross, the Aquarium's director of development.

The Lillian August Warehouse is at Water and Elizabeth streets, just down the road from the Aquarium.

Tickets are $25 ($20 for Aquarium members), with proceeds going to The Maritime Aquarium.
