Jersey Mike's Serves Friends and Family

Last night for a few hours, Jersey Mike's in Copps Hill Plaza quietly opened their doors to friends, family and other local business owners... but there was nothing quiet about it!  On this damp evening, friends and family were spilling out the doors and onto the outside dining patio, as owner Brian Egan proudly stood in front greeting each and every visitor and welcoming them to his new sub shop.   Brian told us he was secretly hoping that the staff had baked enough bread for the occasion because "when it is gone, there can be no more subs."   All bread is baked in-house and takes several hours from start to finish.

Once inside, many young Ridgefield faces wearing their navy "Jersey Mike's" shirts and hats were taking orders, slicing meats or making subs.  The sandwich (and even salad) choices were limitless, and their special "Juice" topping was encouraged for all cold sandwiches.  There were chips, drinks and cookies available too.

The indoor seating was packed and it was a little too wet for dining al fresco, so we brought home hot (chipotle cheese steak) and cold (the original Italian) subs.   At home, we indulged in our choices from Ridgefield's newest sandwich shop, and we all agreed ~ the sandwiches are delicious (and quite large). Thumbs up ~ we will visit again... and again.  And from the smiles on other diners faces, I think they will too.

Opening Day for Jersey Mike's in Ridgefield is Wednesday, June 11; and in keeping with the company's commitment to community, they are hosting a grand opening fundraiser for the Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield. Read more here.
