The Wallflowers live in concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, August 27

The Wallflowers are the rock band that took a break for a few years to produce the multi-Platinum Bringing Down the Horse, which peaked at #4 on Billboard 200 and won two Grammys on the strength of hit singles "One Headlight," "Sixth Avenue Heartache," "Three Marlenas" and "The Difference." They are back at 'em and returning to The Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday, August 27, at 8 p.m.The Wallflowers' most recent album is Glad All Over (2012). Special guest is Ragged Glory, the Neil Young Tribute Band from Vermont. Southwest Café (109 Danbury Rd., Ridgefield) will pour a complimentary margarita with dinner the night of this event when tickets are presented. Fronted by Jakob Dylan, The Wallflowers first blossomed in Los Angeles in 1989. In the first half of this decade, they were part of many exclusive performances including a Live at the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame concert for MTV and a special televised event for VH1, Live at Alcatraz. The Wallflowers were the first band to ever play a concert on the infamous island.
