BGCR Partners with Danbury Olive Garden

The Boys & Girls Club of Ridgefield (BGCR) is partnering with the Danbury Olive Garden to help raise funds for the Club.  BGCR joins more than 700 Clubs nationwide who have paired with their local Olive Garden restaurant, as part of a national partnership between Olive Garden and Boys & Girls Club of America (BGCA).

As part of Olive Garden’s annual Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion, they are inviting guests to “Round Up” their checks to the nearest dollar and make a donation to support Boys & Girls Clubs.  The Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion and “Round Up” fundraiser ends on November 9^th.

Earlier this month, in addition to the Round Up fundraiser, Olive Garden delivered a special meal for Club members that included pasta, salad and breadsticks.  The special meal was donated by Olive Garden to kick off the new school year, as well as, to celebrate the Club member’s great futures.

Olive Garden is located on Backus Avenue in Danbury, across from the Danbury Fair Mall.   At the end of each meal, guests will be asked to “Round Up” their total.  The portion of the bill that is “Rounded Up” will be donated back to BGCR.  All funds generated from this fundraiser will be used to support the Club’s programs.

This partnership is part of Olive Garden’s ongoing commitment to serve its local communities and is in support of BGCA’s mission to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.   “The Club relies on community supports and philanthropy annually,” said Mike Flynn, the Club’s Executive Director “Individuals, corporate and foundation support are vital to the Club’s ability to continue operating at a high level, as the number of youth we serve continues to rise each year.  We are very appreciative of the Olive Garden’s promotion, and all the dollars raised will help us in achieving our mission of inspiring and enabling all of our kids to be the best they can be.”
