Ridgefielder Opens Holistic Skin Care Business on Main Street

MEDICINAL SKIN, A HOLISITIC FACIAL EXPERIENCE OPENS ON RIDGEFIELD’S HISTORIC MAIN STREET

Ridgefield resident Holly Grunsell Arrindell will open Medicinal Skin, a unique facial experience offering holistic wellness and beauty. Medicinal Skin is currently taking appointments for clients and will open on Monday, March 16 at 412 Main Street, Suite 5 in Ridgefield.

“Skin is a reflection of your body and mind. Make it the best it can be!” This is Holly’s belief, that the skin’s health and wellness is connected to the health of the mind and body. She’s excited to share her knowledge about skin care, work with other healing professionals and bring a relaxing environment to Ridgefield’s historic Main Street.

Holly has more than 20 years of experience as a holistic skin care therapist and licensed massage therapist. She was born and raised in England, and graduated with a beauty diploma before moving to America. She began her career working at Skin Spa and Nail Boutique, formerly on Danbury Road in Ridgefield, and continued her education at Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in Westport. Holly left to pursue a career in New York City where she honed her skills as an esthetician and managed several high-end spas. When her son was born, she returned to Ridgefield with her husband and is very excited to bring her two decades of experience back to Ridgefield.

Native Ridgefielder Valerie Albanesi Swenson is also joining Medicinal Skin. Educated at Marinello Beauty School in Fairfield, Valerie specializes in all aspects of skin care. With many years of experience and a loyal following, she is excited to be a part of Medicinal Skin.

Pippa Martin will bring her amazing skills as a licensed clinical reflexologist, aromatherapist, massage therapist and Reiki master practitioner to Medicinal Skin. She specializes in aromatherapy and clinical reflexology to ease symptoms of health problems and as preventative therapy. Pippa studied in her native England, as well as Australia and America.

To celebrate the opening, Medicinal Skin is offering a Spring-Time Cleanse. It includes a Steam & Peel facial and a brow wax for $50. The treatment is regularly priced at $102. (Tax and gratuity not included. This offer is limited to one per person and expires April 30, 2015.)
