Irreverent, touching and funny, “Let Go,” is an ensemble comedy that follows the intertwining stories of Walter Dishman (David Denman), a melancholy parole officer struggling with the doldrums of married life, and three eccentric exconvicts that were recently placed under his supervision. Darla DeMint (Gillian Jacobs), is a sultry femme fatale on the run from a psychopathic ex-boyfriend that she stole from and whose heart she has broken. A cranky geriatric criminal, Artie Satz’s (Ed Asner), feeble attempts to resume his life of crime are continually thwarted when nobody will take him seriously. Nearing rock bottom after his criminal conviction for insurance fraud and the break-up of his marriage, Kris Styles (Kevin Hart), an Ivy League educated African-American doctor, is forced to take the most menial jobs imaginable to satisfy the conditions of his parole. Using the afflictions of modern love as a common thread, the stories build to a poignant climax as each of the characters struggle to free themselves from both literal and figurative bonds
