The Ridgefield Theater Barn will hold a second round of auditions March 20th and 21st at 7pm for the hilarious musical, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, written by David Yazbeck and Jeffrey Lane. Some lead roles are still available, as well as ensemble parts.
The musical, under the direction of Jocelyn Beard, will have performances June 3rd through July 2nd, with rehearsals to be determined.
Based on the 1988 popular movie by the same name, the musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels takes us to the French Riviera for high jinx and hilarity. Sophisticated, suave, with a good dash of mischief, this hysterical comedy features a delightfully jazzy score and was nominated for a staggering 11 Tony Awards.
Those auditioning should be familiar with the musical and come with sheet music to a song of their choosing, prepared to sing 16 bars that show off their best vocal talents – it does not necessarily have to be a show tune.
