Don't Miss It: RVNA Health Fair on Saturday April 9

  • What do I need to know about concussions?
  • Why do daycare centers worry about RSV?

For answers to these and any other questions you may have about the health of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults…ASK THE PEDIATRICIAN - Dr. Marylee Dilling - at the RVNA Health Fair on Saturday, April 9 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at East Ridge Middle School, 10 East Ridge Road, in downtown Ridgefield.

There will be more than 100 exhibitors ready to provide a wide range of services from acupuncture to vision screening, and will include cholesterol, glucose, carotid artery and blood pressure screenings. Exhibitors include an elder law attorney, physical therapist, chiropractor and many more. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the benefits of therapy dogs, discuss biofeedback, talk to a yoga expert or explore home healthcare options.

“Every year someone's life is saved at the RVNA Health Fair. Last year, a pre-cancerous lesion was discovered during a skin cancer screening.  And the year before that, a blocked carotid artery was found in a middle-aged man," said Barbara Newland, RVNA Community Health & Wellness Director. "It may possibly be the most important Saturday errand of the year."
