Ridgefield's Little Pub is not so small anymore

Little pub gets bigger and plans to open new location on Fairfield's Dolan's Corner

Little pub announced plans to open a fourth little pub location at 2133 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield in the site formerly housing the  Angus restaurant. Renovations will commence over the coming weeks with plans to open little pub Fairfield in Summer 2016.

"We're excited to bring the convivial energy of little pub to the town of Fairfield"  said longtime Fairfield resident and little pub operations manager Lars Anderson "And besides, how could an iconic Fairfield address known as "Dolan's Corner" not have a neighborhood pub?"

Established in 1950 by James "Cozy" Dolan and located at the intersection of Stillson Avenue and Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield, "Dolan's Corner" was the original hub of Black Rock Turnpike's thriving business district and home to various incarnations of the Angus restaurant for almost 70 years. Given that the little pub management team has deep roots in the area, Fairfield, and the property at Dolan's Corner in particular,  was a logical next step for their expansion.

"It's a cute and cozy building in a perfect neighborhood for little pub" said Fairfield resident and little pub owner Daneen Grabe, adding "We're really looking forward to serving the community."

Founded in Ridgefield in 2009 by Daneen Grabe, little pub quickly became known for its innovative and elevated pub experience. Grabe opened additional little pubs in Wilton in 2012 and Greenwich in 2014. Fairfield will be the fourth location.

Little pub has won numerous awards over the years, most recently "Best Pub" in Connecticut magazines 2016 readers poll. Little pub Executive Chef, and former Bridgeport resident,  Tim Passaro Jr.'s innovative menu has become a model for modern pub fare. " There are no rules in pub food, other than its got to be good." Passaro said, adding "The beauty of our menu is it allows me to really stretch out and innovate while still maintaining a foothold in the traditional "fish and chips" pub menu. We've got something for everyone."

Renovations will commence over the coming weeks with plans to open little pub Fairfield in Summer 2016. As for the renovation, Grabe said "little pub Fairfield will share the traditional old world charm of our other little pubs with thick plaster walls, hand hewn beams, and antique iron light fixtures. We have some really great stuff planned with surprises in every corner, and of course, fun is mandatory."
