Ridgefield Police PBA Repair Because We Care Program Fixes Local Family Cars

This year the Ridgefield Police Department's PBA "Repair Because We Care" program was a huge success. Ace Tire (861 Ethan Allen Hwy) was added along with Precision Brake Works (32 Ethan Allen Hwy) as the authorized repair facilities. Lostocco Auto Parts/Napa (113 Danbury Road) joined in providing wholesale parts for the repairs. Without the help of Tony Philips (Ridgefield Social Services), Lostocco Auto Parts, Precision Brake Works, Ace Tire and the anonymous donors, none of this could have been possible. We can only hope to keep this forward momentum going and make 2016's program bigger and better!

For those who don't know, the "Repair Because We Care " program was started by Officer Christopher DiFalco in 2015. Its purpose is to provide assistance to Ridgefield families who need to fix their family vehicle. "Around the holiday's if a family has to choose between brake pads or Barbie dolls...Barbie wins". Officer DiFalco went on to say that the program was able to help three families this year! "We wanted to double the size and help two families, we went way past my expectations and got to help three families." With money provided by the PBA and anonymous donors, we can provide critical service to vehicles that pose a safety threat to the family and the public.
