Welcome to Max’s Patio – New Addition to Ridgefield’s Ballard Park – Ribbon cutting ceremony June 16th at 6pm
The Max Michael Rosenfield Foundation today announced the completion of Max’s Patio – a 30-foot round granite patio donated to Ballard Park by the Foundation as an extension of the newly redesigned playground. The patio, constructed by New Beginnings Landscaping, was created in remembrance of Max Michael Rosenfield, a Ridgefield boy who passed away unexpectedly in 2012.
“Ballard Park was a place where Max and his brother, Adam, always loved to play together,” said Jill Rosenfield, President of the Max Michael Rosenfield Foundation. “We wanted to create a welcoming and comfortable place for families to enjoy a snack or lunch while visiting the park and ‘Live Life to the Max!’” The patio, which features the Max Michael Rosenfield Foundation logo in the center, will house several picnic tables.
A formal ribbon cutting will be held on Max’s Patio on Thursday, June 16th at 6:00 p.m. Ballard Park visitors will enjoy free ice cream, homemade by Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe, in celebration of the new addition.
