Ridgefield Theater Barn Kicks Off 51st Season with Farragut North September 9

“The question you gotta ask yourself is whether you want friends, or whether you want to work for the President.”  Not a surprising question from the creator of the hit series House of Cards, Beau Willimon, and the writer of Farragut North.  Directed by Cathy Fitzpatrick Linder, Farragut North will open on September 9th and will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm through October 1st, with Sunday matinees September 18th and 25th at 5pm. Purchase tickets here.

This taut, plot-twisting play, which opens the Theater Barn’s 2016-2017 season, features a knockout cast, including Christopher Cooney, Margaret Fegan, Steven Mueller, Fred Rueck, Jack Tynan, Ryan Wenke, James Wilding, and Julie Zelman.

Brimming with the political and personal intrigue of a campaign team during a presidential primary race, the whip-smart play has at its center Stephen Bellamy, 25, a charismatic, wunderkind press secretary who has built a career that men twice his age would envy. When he makes an impulsive decision to reach for more, his youthful ambition collides with the guile of seasoned veterans—with reverberating consequences for all.  Very adult language and situations; recommended for mature audiences.

Tickets for Farragut North are $24 for adults and $20 for students, seniors, and veterans.  Seating is cabaret style and patrons are encouraged to bring food and drink to enjoy before the show.  Doors open one hour prior to curtain.  Reservations and more information available at www.ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org.
