Uncorked: Liquor Store at 21 Governor Street in Ridgefield?

Is a new liquor store set to open in (old) Balducci's shopping center at 21 Governor Street?  

The State of Connecticut, Department of Consumer Protection has placed a "Liquor Permit Requested" sign in front of 21 Governor Street in Ridgefield (the "old" Balducci's shopping center).

The permittee they have listed is Mitch Ancona, who owns Ancona's Wine & Liquors in Ridgefield and, in 2009, opened the first package store at 5 River Road in neighboring Wilton. 

Could three (stores) be a charm for the longtime (and successful) owner of Ancona's Wine & Liquors? 

Family owned since 1933, Mitch is a third generation owner of Ancona's Wine & Liquors who got his start in the the family business in 1980 at the tender age of 13. 

Ancona's Wines specializes in an extensive selection of wine, beer and spirits from around the globe. What's more, they have wine tastings, online ordering and their signature wine of the month club.
