Keeping Ridgefield Safe & Dapper: Meet Jorge Romero

You may know Jorge Romero as one of Ridgefield's finest. Romero has been an Officer with the Ridgefield Police Department for more than a decade. "I've been a police officer for the past 13 years protecting and serving in this amazing Town," says Romero.

In July, Romero swapped his gun for a pair of scissors and began an Apprenticeship program at The Dapper Den Barbershop through the State of Connecticut's Office of Apprenticeship Training. Romero is working alongside Dapper Den owner Jared Gelbert - honing his skills as a barber.

"It's a pleasure to serve my community in another form. I will be at the shop from 10-2pm. Come on down and get a fresh hair cut or a shave," says Romero. "We offer discounts for Police/Fire/Veterans and Seniors," he adds.
