Ms President US speakers announced!

Coming to Ridgefield from all corners of Connecticut, women leaders at the local, state and national level will be contributing to the Ms President US girls' civic leadership program this year.  Keynote speakers include:  

  • Elizabeth Esty, US Representative (CT 5th District) 
  • Patti Russo, Executive Director of the Women's Campaign School at Yale 
  • Toni Boucher, CT State Senator 
  • Aimee Berger-Girvalo, candidate for CT State Representative 
  • Mary Barneby, CEO of CT Girl Scouts 
  • Jessica Jane Mancini, Vice Chair of the Ridgefield Board of Finance  
Each of the speakers will be joined by a high school girl who is a leader in her community, state, and/or country.  Student presenters include: 
  • Lane Murdock, RHS Junior and Founder of the National School Walkout
  • Callie Whelan, RHS Senior Student Representative to the Ridgefield Youth Commission
  • Tara Krishna, RHS Senior and Student Representative to the CT State Board of Education 
  • Sophia Haber, RHS Senior and co-Founder of We The People 
  • Hersha Chauhan, RHS Freshman and Ms President US winner 2018

Sessions are held on select Friday afternoons in Ridgefield.  Girls entering 4th to 8th grade from any town are welcome to enroll.  Visit the website and select "Enroll": https://mspresidentus.org/  The first session is on October 5th.  The program culminates in a Campaign and Election on April 7th.  Scholarships are available so that all girls, regardless of financial need, can attend.  Email mspresidentus@gmail.com to learn more.  
 
The mission of Ms President US is to inspire and prepare girls to aim for the highest civic leadership positions and know they can achieve them.  Ms President US is qualified as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  EID: 82-2508937.  Contributions to Ms President US are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
