Butterfly Coins Spread Compassionate Ridgefield Message Near and Far

Ridgefield's Team Compassion hosted their inaugural "Compassionate Ridgefield Retreat" yesterday at Scotts Ridge Middle School and welcomed more than one hundred community members including clergy, educators, nonprofit leaders, government officials and local advocates.

On the heels of the event, the feedback has been positively incredible and we can now boast that Ridgefield has ambassadors of compassion dedicated toward making our town an even better place to live, work, and play!

Butterfly Coins Given To Compassionate Ridgefield Retreat Attendees

In days to come, you may be granted a "Butterfly Coin" from one of the many Compassionate Retreat attendees. This coin represents our mission of fostering a culture of compassion in the Town of Ridgefield. Those who hold the coins are reminded to look for opportunities to help someone and are charged with "paying it forward" and giving the coin to those who benefitted from their good deed.

The coins have unique tracking codes on the back, along with instructions to the recipient to make a brief story note about how they received the coin. Each coin has a dedicated story page, where you can watch your legacy of kindness unfold countless times into the future, forever. Visit Butterflycoins.org for complete information about this small coin packed with kindness.

Over 70 cities globally, including Milford, Berlin, and Danbury, right here in Connecticut, have affirmed the Charter for Compassion through city, community councils or other government entities. Affirming the Charter meansCom that a community has identified issues on which they are working, and committed to a multi-year action plan.

Every Coin Is Trackable

On the back of every coin, a unique tracking code is laser-engraved. That code is stored in our system forever, and links all the story notes together for each coin.

Every Coin Can Change The World

Our coins are precision-made of solid, heavy brass and will last forever! The coins you release today may still be enjoying their journey, being passed from person to person along with kind deeds, decades after you first release them. Each coin has its own story page, where all the story notes from that individual coin will be collected in perpetuity. The smallest of deeds you do with a coin today may lead to amazing, life-changing future events!
