Letter in Support of Tom Reynolds for Ridgefield Police Commissioner

There are very few people I have known, in my lifetime, to live their lives with such intentionality to truly embody the core values they embrace. One of these people is Tom Reynolds. Having attended grade school with my father in New York City, I have witnessed Tom intentionally live out the values I most admire: Integrity, Service, Authenticity, Respect and most importantly making a difference in local community.

Tom has left a positive and significant mark in our amazing town over the course of his 43 year residency here. The most significant being the founding of the accounting firm, Reynolds & Rowella, which now employs over 50 accountants in our town, providing an essential service we all need and most importantly, employment. A tireless public servant, he has served on the Police Commission for over 10 years, including two terms as Chairman, currently filling the seat vacated by Charlie Knoche 3 months ago. In addition, Tom serves on multiple charitable boards including Meals on Wheels, RVNA, the Ritter Family Foundation, The Congregation of Notre Dame and on the Board of Directors of Fairfield County Bank.

When my husband and I were looking to move out of Manhattan with our young family in 2012, Tom kindly opened his home to us and welcomed us to Ridgefield, knowing full well we would fall in love with the town. He put us in touch with all of the right people, which made our move smooth and seamless. This gesture truly embodies the essence of who Tom is at his core, someone who truly cares about community and serving people, wanting everyone he knows to thrive and succeed.

I couldn’t think of a more qualified and solid leader for the position of Police Commissioner. I look forward to voting for him in November.
