Longtime St. Mary Parish Religious Education Leader, Sister Margaret Brennan has Died

We just learned that longtime St. Mary Parish Religious Education leader, Sister Margaret Brennan has died. She was a member of Congregation of Notre Dame and lived at their community home in Wilton for the past several years.

We spoke to Sister Margaret's sister, Joan Brennan who told us that she passed away peacefully.

St. Mary Parish wrote on their Facebook page, "It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sr. Margaret Brennan. Sr. Margaret passed away this morning around 10:20 am."

Together with her biological sibling, Sister Joan Brennan, Sister Margaret lead the parish Religious Education program for years (Sr. Joan for 25 years and Sr. Margaret for 12 years). They both belong to the Congregation of Notre Dame.

"They are beloved at our Parish," St. Mary Church personnel said. "Please join us in our heartfelt sympathy and love for Sr. Margaret and her family. May she enjoy great joy and peace in the arms of our Lord now that she is home," they continued.
