The Lantern Comes to Downtown Ridgefield

In early December 2019, we posted the news that Raffaele Gallo; owner of the popular Gallo Ristorante and his long-time business partner, and Executive Chef, Giuseppe Castellano were opening a new restaurant in downtown Ridgefield.

Today, signage went up at 378 Main Street, the former home of Village Tavern. We know now, that Gallo and Castellano will soon open The Lantern (est. 2020).

We reached out to Raffaele today to get some additional details including a target opening date for The Lantern.

Raffaele has a 17-year history in the local restaurant business and said several months ago that his new restaurant will offer an innovative menu for lunch, brunch, dinner, as well as late-night fare. "The menu will focus on local, fresh food, with an American flair; plus cocktails and craft beers, regular live entertainment, and a late-night spot to gather," he said.

"Those of you who are familiar with Gallo will be happy to know they will be bringing their same passion and expertise to this new, casual, and lively American-style restaurant," team Gallo states.

We are awaiting a reply and will bring you additional details when available.
