Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Jill Rae Designs!
Four questions with Jill Rae, founder of Jill Rae Designs.
Why did you start your business?
I always knew I would have my own design business. Last winter, I had so many people ask me when... then one morning in December I jumped in! I am passionate about design, I love creating spaces people have always dreamed of on a budget that suits them!
What is your best selling product/service?
Currently during the pandemic... kitchens! Kim, my partner, and I have multiple kitchens on the go! People are spending a lot of time in their homes. Specifically, in Ridgefield, full home decor is also one of our biggest projects. With our real estate market on a high, we are busy furnishing these homes for newcomers!
How many local businesses do you use to support your business (products and services) and can you name them?
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
In the last year, we have pivoted our business to accommodate clients in a different way! We have also added services and promoted services we had never thought of doing! Virtual consultations and outdoor spaces are a few of those changes. I do dream of expanding more!
