Louise T. Main, 84, of Ridgefield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 21, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Douglas O. Main.
Mrs. Main was born in Ridgefield on June 27, 1936; a daughter of the late Nazzareno and Matilda (Paterniani) Torcellini. She graduated from Ridgefield High School and The Wood School in New York City.
A lifelong resident of Ridgefield, Mrs. Main was a retired bookkeeper for the Ridgefield Housing Authority. In her spare time, Mrs. Main enjoyed traveling with her husband, attending country music concerts and time spent with her family and grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church.
Mrs. Main is survived by her three children: Nancy Main Iozzo and her husband, Marty of Ridgefield; Stephen Main and his partner, Martha Spieth of Ridgefield and Elizabeth Main Pagliaro and her husband, Gary of Stratford, CT. She is also survived by 2 granddaughters, Courtney and Stephanie Main and a sister, Ann Buccitti all of Ridgefield as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Main was predeceased by a sister, Elsie Bartolucci.
